Forage Bins
Forage Bins are the enrichment that your non-human primates need! By adding shavings and some seeds, your NHPs will be able to exhibit all their foraging behaviors for an extended period of time. You can also use a variety of seeds and fruits as NHP forage, making the experience even more exciting for them.
Equipment
- 1 mouse crate
- 1 measuring cup
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp black sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp granola oats
- 1/2 cup blueberries, strawberries any fruit you choose
- 3 cups pine shavings
Instructions
- Use 1 sanitized empty mouse crate.
- Add 3 cups of pine shavings
- Mix seeds, strawberries, blueberries in separate bowl
- Add forage mix to crate
- Mix forage mix and shavings
